The UNM Transfer & Transition Student Center is a home to future and current transfer, branch transition, and dual credit students where they can finda range of resources, tools, and programming to streamline their student experience while fostering thier connections to the university and to each other.
Services
At the Transfer & Transition Student Center, our Transfer, Branch Transition, and Dual Credit students have access to:
- a study/lounge space for students with snacks, coffee, tea, etc. provided for free!
- facilitated study groups,
- social events to foster student connections,
- drop-in hours and advisement appointments for 1:1 assistance in navigating any aspect of the transfer, branch transition, or dual credit journey,
- visiting office hours with various UNM departments and other institutional partners offering help and services on-site,
- workshops focused on financial aid, registration, acclimating to UNM, and more!
Our Goal
Transfer students, who make up roughly one third of our undergraduate student population, face unique challenges that can hinder thier success. In collaboration with our campus and external partners, our goal is to provide robust support that empowers transfer and branch transition students to pursue and accomplish their personal, academic, research, and professional aspirations as they navigate their educational journey.
