About Hope Widmayer:
Pronouns: they/them/theirs
I grew up in a small New Hampshire town. After graduating from high school early and spending a gap year traveling, I attended Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts. There, I studied visual art, photography, and creative writing. Three years ago, I moved to Albuquerque and quickly found community in the MFA program at UNM. Though not a candidate myself, it was through these friends and collaborators that I fell in love with UNM's campus and its vibrant culture.
Outside of work, I spend my time casually birdwatching, sewing, and making art. Also, I am forever working my way through an ever-growing tower of library books.

My Role in OAS
As an Administrative Assistant, my goal is to keep the office running smoothly so our wonderful staff can do their jobs efficiently! I aim to create a welcoming environment at both the Testing & Training Center and the Transfer & Transition Student Center and (depending on the day) you can find me at the front desk of both offices. I also support OAS with a variety of projects, from event planning to student support.
