About Georgie Smith:

My name is Georgie Smith and I am from Red Wing, Minnesota. I transferred to UNM in 2022 after attending a community college in my home state for a year. I chose UNM because of the vibrant atmosphere and great weather. I graduated from UNM with my bachelor's degree in Population Health and minor in Maternal and Child Health in 2025. I plan to stay in higher education and support students throughout their collegiate career through a public health lens.

My Role in OAS

My role with OAS as a Professional Advising Intern is to assist any college that may be in need of extra advising support. I get the privilege of learning the advising profession from the perspective of every college on campus while fulfilling my passion of working in student success.
