Black History Month

During Black History Month at UNM, students will be afforded the opportunities to engage in several events that have been coordinated by African American Student Services (AASS). Throughout the month of February, students are encouraged to explore the essence of certain black historical journeys that have become bridged with modern day strides for diversity and equality within the realms of higher education and social environments. TNT Spring Social and Library Resource

On Tuesday, February 7, 2012, UNM invites newly transferred and non-traditional students to a free lunch event that will be taking place in the Santa Ana A room in Student Union Building (SUB) from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The lunch will provide students with an opportunity to socialize with other UNM students and win some great prizes in the process.

After lunch, the new edition of UNM students will have a chance to learn about utilizing UNM Libraries research data bases form 2:00 PM to 3: 00 PM in room B30 of the Zimmerman Library. For more information, please contact Victor Chacon in the Dean of Students office at 277-3361 or doso@unm.edu.

National Student Exchange Program

The National Student Exchange (NSE) program has offered students the opportunity to take their educational experiences beyond their familiar academic settings and explore new cultural dimensions of undergraduate education.  Students who are interested in a NSE program should be aware of the upcoming February 24, 2012 deadline, which is on a Friday by 5:00 PM.
