Dual Credit/Concurrent Enrollment is a program designed to provide high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to earn college credit while still enrolled in high school by taking University courses normally not offered at the high school.
Admission to Dual Credit/Concurrent Enrollment is in Non-Degree status and is not considered “Early Admission” to the University. Students desiring to continue in degree status after high school graduation must fulfill the admission requirements described in the current UNM Catalog.

These are the minimum requirements for admission to the Dual Credit/Concurrent Enrollment Program. Individual high schools may require higher qualifications before certifying and recommending a student. Meeting the criteria listed does not mean that the student will be automatically admitted to the Concurrent Enrollment or Dual Credit Programs. In all cases the final admission determination will be made by the Director of Advisement.
Students who have attended a non-accredited /non-approved high school or home school may apply for Concurrent Enrollment; however, they must meet the ACT or SAT requirement to be eligible.

New Mexico Legislative Lottery Scholarship and the Statewide Dual Credit Program
Lottery Scholarship Program Description:
The New Mexico Legislative Lottery Scholarship is a recurring full-tuition award, which may be received for up to eight consecutive semesters, beginning the student's second semester in college. The qualifying semester for this scholarship is the student's first semester in college after being awarded a high school diploma or GED. This term must be completed with minimum 12 credits and 2.5 Grade Point Average (GPA).
Credits and grades earned prior to the Qualifying Semester will not be used to determine initial eligibility for the Legislative Lottery
Scholarship, but will be factored in a student's cumulative GPA. The cumulative GPA will be the determining factor in continued eligibility for the Legislative Lottery Scholarship.
No application is required.

Note: Students who have a cumulative GPA below a 2.5 as a result of dual credit or other coursework taken before the Qualifying Semester may appeal to their institution's Scholarship Office to discuss alternative GPA calculation options.
